Giovanni Recordati holds a Ph.D. in chemical engineering from the Politecnico di Milano and a master's degree in management science from the Imperial College, University of London. He joined Recordati in 1974. In 1980 he was named vice president for manufacturing and in 1984 he added responsibility for research & development and corporate operations. In 1990 he became president and chief operating officer. Since 1977 he has been a member of the Board of Directors. Presently he is chairman and chief executive officer of the Recordati group.
Alberto Recordati earned a degree in biochemistry from King's College of the University of London in 1977. In 1984 he earned a Ph.D. in biochemistry at the Charing Cross Hospital Medical School of the same university. He joined Recordati in 1984 as researcher in the biochemistry and immunology lab. In 1987 he was in charge of the planning and product development unit. From 1990 to 1992 he worked at Pharmetrix Corp., a United States subsidiary, as research coordinator. In 1992 he was appointed industrial manager for biochemicals, in charge of biochemical/microbiological research and the biochemical/fermentation production. In 1995 he became general manager of the chemicals research and technologies division, and in 1999 President of the pharmaceutical chemicals division. In 2004 he was appointed Vice Chairman of the Board.
Andrea Recordati holds a Bachelor of Arts in modern and medieval history from the Royal Holloway and Bedford New College of the University of London. From September 1995 to March 1998 he took part in the Smithkline Beecham Management Access Program of in the United Kingdom becoming project manager in charge of the development and the implementation of an innovative marketing initiative. He joined Recordati in 1998 as project leader for a program directed at the improvement of field force productivity and marketing investments optimization. Since 1998 he has been member of the Board of Directors. In 1999 he became manager of pharmaceutical business development reporting to the general manager of the pharmaceutical division. In March 2002 he was appointed head of the newly constituted lercanidipine business unit. In 2008 he became director for the Western European subsidiaries, in 2011 General Manager Pharmaceuticals International and in July 2013 he was appointed Chief Operating Officer.
Fritz Squindo was born in Gressoney St. Jean (Aosta, Italy) on May 19th, 1956 and graduated “cum laude” in Economics at the Bocconi University in Milan, Italy. He started his career in 1981 in Telettra S.p.A., a telecommunications company within the Fiat Group, where he was employed in the finance department. In 1986 he joined Sanofi S.p.A., the Italian subsidiary of the French pharmaceutical group Sanofi, where he was first Head of Finance and, as from 1990, Head of Management Accounting. In 1992 he joined Recordati S.p.A. as Head of the Management Accounting department. In 1995 he was appointed Chief Financial Officer and in 2008 also became Managing Director. Since 2013 Mr. Squindo is a member of the Board of Directors of Recordati S.p.A. and is also part of the managing bodies of several Recordati Group companies.
Walter Bevilacqua holds a Dr Ing degree in engineering from the Politecnico di Milano and an MBA from the Harvard Business School. After a short academic experience he pursued a career in management in the chemical and pharmaceutical industry holding financial and marketing positions, including heading the pharmaceuticals division of Recordati (1981). He then joined Olivetti (1986), heading a US subsidiary and later a group of software and information services companies. He has been with Recordati again since 1996.
Enrico Baroncia holds a degree in Biology and has twenty years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. After his initial experience as Sales Representative at Menarini, in 1995 he joined PHT as Business Development Manager and then he moved to Stroder, Servier Group, as Product Manager in the cardiovascular area. In 2000 he became Business Line Manager at Schering Plough in the interventional cardiology sector, after which he joined GE Healthcare as Commercial Director , in charge of marketing, sales and business development for Italy and Greece in the diagnostic imaging business; in 2005, he joined Johnson & Johnson Medical as Sales Director. In 2007, Mr. Baroncia moved to Mylan, where he covered different positions with growing responsibilities: Business Director responsible for marketing and sales in retail and hospital channels, General Manager Mylan Italy and finally, as of 2013, President Mylan Europe, in charge of managing commercial, finance and business development operations. In Octobel 2013 joined Recordati as General Manager Italy.
Luca Bolliger studied biochemistry at the ETH in Zürich and completed his undergraduate studies with a Master in Immunology. He graduated at the Biocenter in Basel in biochemistry, and then became Member of the Basel institute for immunology. He then joined the pharmaceutical industry as a Global discovery portfolio manager in the Pharma Strategy Unit at Hoffmann-La Roche Ltd. He then pursued his career in the financial industry as a Fundamental analyst at BT&T asset management, and as a freelance consultant. He established Biopolo Ticino where he also participated in the creation of the Swiss marketing platforms Swiss Biotech and Swiss Medtech before becoming Director Business Development at Actelion. Luca Bolliger joined Recordati from Novimmune where he was director Business Development.
After earning a degree in medicine, Corrado Castellucci pursued his academic path in marketing and general management at well-known universities and business schools. He began his career path in pharmaceutical industry in 1986 in the sales force of Hammer Pharma. In 1988 he joined Lepetit (which became Hoechst Marion Russel, which subsequently merged with Aventis Pharma Italy). He held positions of increasing responsibility and became the Director of Marketing, Medical and Business Operations. In 2004 he joined AstraZeneca, where he ran both the hospital and oncological business units, before becoming Director of the entire Specialty Care Division. After his role as CEO first with Gilead Sciences Italy (from 2007) and then with the pharmaceutical manufacturing companies NerPharMa and NerpharmaDS, he became General Manager in 2010 of Adienne, a pharmaceutical and biotechnology company whose primary focus area is onco-haematology with particular dedication to the treatment of rare and severe diseases. He joins Recordati in April 2013 as Vice President and Director for the Orphan Drugs Business.
Daria Ghidoni was awarded a degree in law with the highest grades from the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore of Milan and she is qualified in Italy. She began her career in 1995 with the law and tax firm Studio Associato Legale e Tributario (a correspondent of Ernst & Young International), where she worked as a legal adviser to major Italian and multinational companies mainly in the area of company law and commercial contracts. She continued her career in 2000 in the legal and corporate affairs office of the multinational group Giochi Preziosi, where she worked mainly on international contracts and mergers and acquisitions. In 2002 she joined Recordati as Head of Legal Affairs at the Parent Company and she was appointed to her present position as Head of Corporate Legal Affairs for the Group as a whole in 2011.
Antoine Grouès earned an honours Master in Biology and a Master in Science in Marketing and Management at the Lyon School of Management. After a short experience in research, in 2001 he joined Bristol-Myers Squibb UPSA as a sales rep and then International Product Manager and in 2004 he moved to Mayoly-Spindler where he worked as International Area Manager Middle East, Africa & French Overseas Territories and then Eastern Europe & CIS countries. In 2007 he joined Recordati Bouchara as Export Director. In 2010 he became International Pharma Sales Director at Recordati Ireland Ltd and in 2012 General Manager Recordati Ireland Ltd. In 2013 he became Vice President and Director, General Manager Recordati Ireland Ltd., General Manager of Recordati Pharmaceuticals (UK) and International Licensees Sales Director.
After obtaining a degree in chemistry at the Università degli Studi di Milano, Antonio Magni began his career in 1985 at the Istituto Biochimico Italiano, holding positions with increasing responsibilities in the quality control chemical laboratory. In 1990 he joined Dompé Farmaceutici, first in Milan as Head of Quality Control and later in L'Aquila as Head of Quality Assurance and Quality Control and Head of Research and Development Quality Assurance. In 1998 he joined Recordati S.p.A. as Head of Quality Assurance of the Pharmaceutical and Biochemical Division, he then became Head of Corporate Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance. Since July 2013 he is Director of Group Manufacturing and Logistics.
Luisa Mainoli graduated “cum laude” in chemistry at the Università degli Studi di Milano and subsequently obtained an MBA at the Bocconi University in Milan. She started her professional career in research, first at the Istituto di Chimica Industriale (Università di Milano), and then at Solma SpA, Henkel Italiana and Marion Merrel Dow (Lepetit Research Centre). In 1990 she joined Recordati S.p.A. where she held a number of positions in R&D and then in finance with increasing responsibilities. Since 2012 she is Group Finance Director.
Bernard Millet has a degree in Pharmacy and a Master in Business Administration; he worked for twenty-five years at Servier with country and regional responsibilities. In 1988 he joined Servier International as Operational Assistant for Southern Europe, then he became General Manager first at Servier Netherlands, then at Servier Portugal and finally at Stroder, one of the Italian subsidiaries of the Servier Group. In 1997 he was appointed Executive Director at Servier Italy where, as from 2001, he was also in charge of Institutional Affairs and Price Negotiation for the whole Group in Italy; in 2006 he became Executive Director for Eastern Southern Europe (Italy, Greece, Malta and Cyprus) at Servier International and, in 2010, CEO at Servier Italy. In 2011 Mr. Millet became Executive Director for Southern Europe widening his responsibilities to Spain and Portugal. In October 2013 he joined Recordati S.p.A. as Regional Director Western Europe.
Giovanni Minora holds a degree in Business Economics from the Bocconi University of Milan. He started his professional career in 1995 as junior controller at Alcanital Services, then he worked at Alcan Alluminio as assistant to the financial manager. In 2000 he pursued a career in management in the auditing field: he was appointed Senior Internal Auditor at Foster Wheeler Italiana and later he joined Edison as Operations Auditing team coordinator. In 2005 he joined IT Holding S.p.A as head of Audit and Internal Control for the group. He joined RECORDATI S.p.A. in 2007 and is currently Director Corporate Auditing.
Diego Provvedini obtained the Medical Degree in 1978 from the University of Parma, Italy, where he initiated his career as Clinical Research Assistant in the Dept. of Gerontology & Geriatrics. In order to pursue his scientific work on the endocrine control of bone metabolism, in 1982 he joined the Dept. of Medicine of the University of California in San Diego, where he held university positions in the research track. After having obtained several support grants from the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH), in 1987 he continued his scientific career as Senior Researcher in the Dept. of Immunology of the Scripps Research Institute, in La Jolla. After moving to France in 1994, he joined the pharmaceutical industry, first as International Project Coordinator at the Institut de Recherches Internationales Servier, then in 1999 as International Project Leader at Negma Laboratoires, and in 2003 as Head of Development Strategy at Steba Biotech-France. In 2008 he was appointed Director of Drug Development at Recordati and at the end of 2012 his responsibilities were extended to cover the Drug Discovery activity.
After obtaining a degree in medicine Arnaldo Restelli began his career in the pharmaceutical industry (Simes, Recordati, Lusofarmaco) holding positions with increasing responsibilities. In 2001 he joined Menarini as medical-marketing director of the international division with responsibility for the marketing and medical operations and field force coordination as well as the coordination of the subsidiaries in Switzerland, Greece and Portugal. In addition to the activities of the international department, for about one year, he was general manager of Menarini France, and afterwards of the Swiss subsidiary. He returned to Recordati, where he is now VP and Regional Director South-Eastern Europe and North Africa.
Marianne Tatschke, of Argentine origin, earned a BA in Psychology and in 1982 a Master in Business Administration at McMaster University (Hamilton, Ontario, Canada). She started her career in Italy at Sea Containers (Italian subsidiary of the Sea Containers Group) first as Operations Manager and then as Financial Controller. In 1988 she joined Det Norske Veritas (Milan Branch of the Norwegian naval registry) as Administration Controller and in 1991 she started her experience in the pharmaceutical industry at Astra Farmaceutici, the Italian subsidiary of the Swedish group, as Planning and Control Manager. In 1996 she was appointed CFO. Following the merger of Astra with Zeneca Ms. Tatschke joined Recordati as Director of Accounting. In 2001 she was appointed Head of Investor Relations and in 2013 Director Investor Relations and Corporate Communications.
Witold Urban earned a Master of Art in Modern History at University of Gdansk (Poland). After an initial experience in Sales at Sterling Health, in 1995 he joined SmithKline Beecham Consumer Healthcare, today part of GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare, where he worked for eighteen years with country and regional responsibilities in Central and Eastern Europe. After covering different sales and marketing roles in Poland, he became Sales Development Director for the CEE Area, then Country Manager Ukraine, Vice President & General Manager Poland and finally, in 2009, he was appointed Vice President & General Manager Russia and Head of CEE Corega (Denture Care). In 2012, Mr. Urban was appointed Director Business Development and Strategic Projects CEE. In July 2013 he joined Recordati S.p.A. as Regional Director Central-Eastern Europe.
