Giovanni Recordati holds a Ph.D. in chemical engineering from the Politecnico di Milano and a master's degree in management science from the Imperial College, University of London.

He joined Recordati in 1974. In 1980 he was named vice president for manufacturing and in 1984 he added responsibility for research & development and corporate operations. In 1990 he became president and chief operating officer. Since 1977 he has been a member of the Board of Directors. Presently he is chairman and chief executive officer of the Recordati group.

Alberto Recordati earned a degree in biochemistry from King's College of the University of London in 1977. In 1984 he earned a Ph.D. in biochemistry at the Charing Cross Hospital Medical School of the same university.

He joined Recordati in 1984 as researcher in the biochemistry and immunology lab. In 1987 he was in charge of the planning and product development unit. From 1990 to 1992 he worked at Pharmetrix Corp., a United States subsidiary, as research coordinator. In 1992 he was appointed industrial manager for biochemicals, in charge of biochemical/microbiological research and the biochemical/fermentation production. In 1995 he became general manager of the chemicals research and technologies division, and in 1999 President of the pharmaceutical chemicals division. In 2004 he was appointed Vice Chairman of the Board.

Walter Bevilacqua holds a Dr Ing degree in engineering from the Politecnico di Milano and an MBA from the Harvard Business School. After a short academic experience he pursued a career in management in the chemical and pharmaceutical industry holding financial and marketing positions, including heading the pharmaceuticals division of Recordati (1981). He then joined Olivetti (1986), heading a US subsidiary and later a group of software and information services companies. He has been with Recordati again since 1996.

Luca Bolliger studied biochemistry at the ETH in Zürich and completed his undergraduate studies with a Master in Immunology. He graduated at the Biocenter in Basel in biochemistry, and then became Member of the Basel institute for immunology. He then joined the pharmaceutical industry as a Global discovery portfolio manager in the Pharma Strategy Unit at Hoffmann-La Roche Ltd. He then pursued his career in the financial industry as a Fundamental analyst at BT&T asset management, and as a freelance consultant. He established Biopolo Ticino where he also participated in the creation of the Swiss marketing platforms Swiss Biotech and Swiss Medtech before becoming Director Business Development at Actelion. Luca Bolliger joined Recordati from  Novimmune where he was director Business Development.

Luciano Bonacorsi earned a law degree from the Università degli Studi di Milano in 1981.

He began his career at S.I.P. (now Telecom Italia), where he was hired as assistant to the district human resources director in 1982. From 1987 to 1989 he was assistant to the labour relations director at Federchimica. In 1989 he moved to Esselunga as human resources manager, first regionally and then at headquarters. He joined Recordati in 1994, where he was put in charge of labour relations and plant human resources. After a brief hiatus as director of personnel and general affairs at Valeas Industria Farmaceutica, he returned to Recordati where he has been vice-president and director human resources since 1997.

After earning a degree in medicine, Corrado Castellucci pursued his academic path in marketing and general management at well-known universities and business schools.

He began his career path in pharmaceutical industry in 1986 in the sales force of Hammer Pharma.

In 1988 he joined Lepetit (which became Hoechst Marion Russel, which subsequently merged with Aventis Pharma Italy). He held positions of increasing responsibility and became the Director of Marketing, Medical and Business Operations.

In 2004 he joined AstraZeneca, where he ran both the hospital and oncological business units, before becoming Director of the entire Specialty Care Division.

After his role as CEO first with Gilead Sciences Italy (from 2007) and then with the pharmaceutical manufacturing companies NerPharMa and NerpharmaDS, he became General Manager in 2010 of Adienne, a pharmaceutical and biotechnology company whose primary focus area is onco-haematology with particular dedication to the treatment of rare and severe diseases.

He joins Recordati in April 2013 as Vice President and Director for the Orphan Drugs Business.

Giovanni Mariani earned a degree in Business Administration in 1987 from L.U.I.S.S. (Libera Universita’ Internazionale Studi Sociali) in Rome where he worked as an independent Accountant for the following 2 years.

He joined Recordati in 1989 where he held different positions within the Group, both in Italy and abroad. In February 2011 he was appointed General Manager Group Logistics and Manufacturing.

Diego Provvedini obtained the Medical Degree in 1978 from the University of Parma, Italy, where he initiated his career as Clinical Research Assistant in the Dept. of Gerontology & Geriatrics. In order to pursue his scientific work on the endocrine control of bone metabolism, in 1982 he joined the Dept. of Medicine of the University of California in San Diego, where he held university positions in the research track. After having obtained several support grants from the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH), in 1987 he continued his scientific career as Senior Researcher in the Dept. of Immunology of the Scripps Research Institute, in La Jolla. After moving to France in 1994, he joined the pharmaceutical industry, first as International Project Coordinator at the Institut de Recherches Internationales Servier, then in 1999 as International Project Leader at Negma Laboratoires, and in 2003 as Head of Development Strategy at Steba Biotech-France. In 2008 he was appointed Director of Drug Development at Recordati and at the end of 2012 his responsibilities were extended to cover the Drug Discovery activity.

Andrea Recordati holds a Bachelor of Arts in modern and medieval history from the Royal Holloway and Bedford New College of the University of London.

From September 1995 to March 1998 he took part in the Smithkline Beecham Management Access Program of in the United Kingdom becoming project manager in charge of the development and the implementation of an innovative marketing initiative.

He joined Recordati in 1998 as  project leader for a program directed at the improvement of field force productivity and marketing investments optimization.

Since 1998 he has been member of the Board of Directors.

In 1999 he became manager of pharmaceutical business development reporting to the general manager of the pharmaceutical division.

In March 2002 he was appointed head of the newly constituted lercanidipine business unit.

In 2008 he became director for the Western European subsidiaries and in 2011 he was appointed General Manager Pharmaceuticals International.

After obtaining a degree in medicine Arnaldo Restelli began his career in the pharmaceutical industry (Simes, Recordati, Lusofarmaco) holding positions with increasing responsibilities. In 2001 he joined Menarini as medical-marketing director of the international division with responsibility for the marketing and medical operations and field force coordination as well as the coordination of the subsidiaries in Switzerland, Greece and Portugal. In addition to the activities of the international department, for about one year, he was general manager of Menarini France, and afterwards of the Swiss subsidiary.

He returned to Recordati, where he is now director for Central and Eastern European subsidiaries.

Paolo Romagnoli holds a degree in chemistry from the Università degli Studi di Milano.

He joined the Recordati Group in 1974 where he held positions of increasing responsibility within the pharmaceutical chemicals division beginning with the development of processes of organic syntheses and achieving the position of head of pharmaceutical chemicals marketing.

In 1988 he began his activity as a consultant specialised in pharmaceutical chemicals.  He dealt with many European and North American companies accruing a profound management experience : from strategic planning to business development, from market research to research and development.

He joined the Angelini Group in 2003 as the manager of the fine chemicals business unit and production facilities.

In 2006 he returned to International consulting offering extensive support to many companies in the  fine chemicals sector and in particular as related to active pharmaceutical ingredients.

In May 2008 he rejoins Recordati as director of pharmaceutical chemicals.

Fritz Squindo graduated “cum laude” in Economics at the Bocconi University in Milan, Italy.

He started his career in 1981 in Telettra S.p.A., a telecommunications company within the Fiat Group, where he was employed in the finance department.

In 1986 he joined Sanofi S.p.A.,the Italian subsidiary of the French pharmaceutical group Sanofi, where he was first Head of Finance and, as from 1990, Head of Management Accounting.

In 1992 he joined Recordati S.p.A. as Head of the Management Accounting Department. In 1995 he became Chief Financial Officer and in 2008 General Manager for the Coordination of Group Operations as well.

Dott. Squindo is part of the managing bodies of several Recordati Group companies.
