Alberto Recordati - Chairman

Alberto Recordati graduated from University of London King's College in 1977 with a degree in biochemistry and in 1984 successfully completed a research PhD within the Biochemistry Department of Charing Cross Hospital Medical School part of that same university. He joined Recordati in 1984 as a researcher in the biochemistry laboratories. In 1987 he was appointed Head of the Planning and Product Development Office. From 1990 to 1992, he worked for the US subsidiary Pharmetrix Corp as research project coordinator. In 1992 he was appointed Industrial Manager for Biochemicals with responsibility for biochemical/microbiological research and for the Cascina dè Pecchi biochemical/fermentation production site. In 1995, he became Head of the Chemical Research and Technologies Division. In 1999, he was appointed director in charge of the fine chemicals sector and in 2004 Deputy Chairman of Recordati S.p.A.. He has held responsibility for co-ordinating the “Drug Discovery” and “Drug Development” activities of the Company since 2008 and also for licensing-in activities since 2011. In 2016 he was appointed Chairman.


Andrea Recordati - Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer

Andrea Recordati gained a Bachelor of Arts in medieval and modern history from the University of London Royal Holloway and Bedford New College. Between September 1995 and March 1998, he participated in the SmithKline Beecham Management Access Program, in the United Kingdom, starting off as Assistant Product Manager in Consumer Healthcare and then, for one year, occupying the role of medical representative in Essex before becoming Project Manager responsible for the development and implementation of an innovative SmithKline Beecham marketing initiative. He joined Recordati in 1998 as Project Leader for a project aimed at improving Sales Force productivity and better use of marketing investments. In April 1998, he joined the Board of Directors of the Company. In 1999, he was given responsibility for Pharmaceutical Business Development. In March 2002, the Lercanidipine Business Unit was set up and he was appointed head of that unit. Since November 2002, he has been responsible for setting up the subsidiary Recordati Ireland and its industrial plant and, subsequently, for setting up the UK subsidiary. In August 2007, the Northern and Central Europe Subsidiaries Division was set up and he was appointed head of that division. That division was enlarged in 2010 to include all western European companies. In February 2011 he was appointed General Manager of the International Pharmaceuticals Division. In 2013 he was appointed Chief Operating Officer, being responsible for all the commercial and production activities of the Group. In 2016 he was appointed Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.


Fritz Squindo - Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer

Fritz Squindo was born in Gressoney St. Jean (Aosta, Italy) on May 19th, 1956 and graduated “cum laude” in Economics at the Bocconi University in Milan, Italy. He started his career in 1981 in Telettra S.p.A., a telecommunications company within the Fiat Group, where he was employed in the finance department. In 1986 he joined Sanofi S.p.A., the Italian subsidiary of the French pharmaceutical group Sanofi, where he was first Head of Finance and, as from 1990, Head of Management Accounting. In 1992 he joined Recordati S.p.A. as Head of the Management Accounting department. In 1995 he was appointed Chief Financial Officer and in 2008 also became Managing Director. Since 2013 Mr. Squindo is a member of the Board of Directors of Recordati S.p.A. and is also part of the managing bodies of several Recordati Group companies


Enrico Baroncia - General Manager Italy

Enrico Baroncia holds a degree in Biology and has twenty years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. After his initial experience as Sales Representative at Menarini, in 1995 he joined PHT as Business Development Manager and then he moved to Stroder, Servier Group, as Product Manager in the cardiovascular area. In 2000 he became Business Line Manager at Schering Plough in the interventional cardiology sector,  after which he joined GE Healthcare as Commercial Director , in charge of marketing, sales and business development for Italy and Greece in the diagnostic imaging business; in 2005, he joined Johnson & Johnson Medical as Sales Director. In 2007, Mr. Baroncia moved to Mylan, where he covered different positions with growing responsibilities: Business Director responsible for marketing and sales in retail and hospital channels, General Manager Mylan Italy and finally, as of 2013, President Mylan Europe, in charge of managing commercial, finance and business development operations. In Octobel 2013 joined Recordati as General Manager Italy.
 


Luca Bolliger - VP and Director Corporate Licensing

Luca Bolliger studied biochemistry at the ETH in Zürich and completed his undergraduate studies with a Master in Immunology. He graduated at the Biocenter in Basel in biochemistry, and then became Member of the Basel institute for immunology. He then joined the pharmaceutical industry as a Global discovery portfolio manager in the Pharma Strategy Unit at Hoffmann-La Roche Ltd. He then pursued his career in the financial industry as a Fundamental analyst at BT&T asset management, and as a freelance consultant. He established Biopolo Ticino where he also participated in the creation of the Swiss marketing platforms Swiss Biotech and Swiss Medtech before becoming Director Business Development at Actelion. Luca Bolliger joined Recordati from  Novimmune where he was director Business Development


Corrado Castellucci - VP and Director Orphan Drugs

After earning a degree in medicine, Corrado Castellucci pursued his management training in marketing and general management. He began his career in the pharmaceutical industry in 1986 in the sales force of Hammer Pharma. In 1988 he joined Lepetit (which became Hoechst Marion Russel, which subsequently merged with Aventis Pharma Italy). He held positions of increasing responsibility and became Director of Marketing, Medical and Business Operations. In 2004 he joined AstraZeneca, where he ran both the hospital and oncological business units, before becoming Director of the entire Specialty Care Division. After his role as CEO, first with Gilead Sciences Italy (from 2007) and then with the pharmaceutical manufacturing companies NerPharMa and NerpharmaDS, he became General Manager in 2010 of Adienne, a pharmaceutical and biotechnology company whose primary focus area is onco-haematology with particular dedication to the treatment of rare and severe diseases. He joins Recordati in April 2013 as Vice President and Director for the Orphan Drugs Business.


Gabriele Finzi - VP and Director Corporate Development

​Gabriele Finzi holds a degree in Business Administration with a major in Corporate Finance from the Bocconi University (Milan). After an initial experience in investment banking, he began his corporate career as an M&A Analyst at Barilla, where he took part in a number of deals. In 2005, he joined Siemens Italy to set up the local M&A department; subsequently he became responsible for the financial planning of the South West Europe region of Siemens Medical Solutions. In 2008 he joined the Corporate Development department at Recordati where he has been assigned increasing responsibilities and has completed several acquisitions; he was appointed Group Business Development Director in 2012 and, in September 2016, Vice President Corporate Development.


Daria Ghidoni - VP and Director Corporate Legal Affairs

Daria Ghidoni was awarded a degree in law with the highest grades from the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore of Milan and she is qualified in Italy. She began her career in 1995 with the law and tax firm Studio Associato Legale e Tributario (a correspondent of Ernst & Young International), where she worked as a legal adviser to major Italian and multinational companies mainly in the area of company law and commercial contracts. She continued her career in 2000 in the legal and corporate affairs office of the multinational group Giochi Preziosi, where she worked mainly on international contracts and mergers and acquisitions. In 2002 she joined Recordati as Head of Legal Affairs at the Parent Company and she was appointed to her present position as Head of Corporate Legal Affairs for the Group as a whole in 2011


Giuseppe Gualazzini - VP Group Human Resources

Giuseppe Gualazzini was born in Fornovo di Taro (PR) in 1959 and has more than thirty years of experience in international human resources management: after initial activity at IBM, he worked in Organizational Development at AGIP (ENI Group), Organization at Alivar (SME Group) and Staffing & Development at Boehringer Ingelheim; in 1989 he joined GE Medical Systems Italy (General Electric Group) as Staffing and Development Manager, then he became Plant HR Manager, Country HR Manager and finally, in 1995, he was appointed Region Human Resources Manager for Italy, Greece and Turkey. In GE Group he was involved in all European HR projects of the Medical Systems business.

In 1996 he moved to Deutsche Post DHL Group, where he covered different positions with growing responsibilities: he was first Region Human Resources Manager for Italy, Greece and Bulgaria in Danzas Group; he became Human Resources Director Italy, managing all the business units, in DHL Group, then he was Human Resources Director Mediterranean Area – Italy, Greece, Malta e Cyprus – for DHL Express Business Unit; finally, in 2007, he was appointed Vice President HR Middle East and Africa Region for DHL Global Forwarding Business Unit. In Deutsche Post DHL Group he played an active role in development and implementation of all the worldwide HR projects and was Member of the Executive Committee in charge of Group industrial relations at European level.

Finally, in May 2011, he joined SIRTI Group as Group HR Director; as of the 1st May 2014 he joined Recordati as Vice President Group HR.


Miguel Isla - International Specialty and Primary Care and Western Europe Subsidiaries

Miguel Isla Rodriguez has a PhD in Veterinary Medicine and a Master in Business Administration; he worked for twenty years at Pfizer with worldwide as well as country specific responsibilities. After covering different management roles in Pfizer’s Animal Health Division, where he became Global Director of Marketing, in 2003 he moved on to Pfizer Spain, first as National Sales Manager of the Pharmaceutical Division and then as Government and Public Affairs Director. In 2009 he was appointed General Manager of Pfizer Spain. In September 2010 he joined Recordati as General Manager of Recordati España, the Spanish Subsidiary of the group, and in December 2016 he became responsible for the International Primary and Specialty Care Business Unit (IPSC).


Luisa Mainoli - VP and Director Group Finance

Luisa Mainoli graduated “cum laude” in chemistry at the Università degli Studi di Milano and subsequently obtained an MBA at the Bocconi University in Milan. She started her professional career in research, first at the Istituto di Chimica Industriale (Università di Milano), and then at Solma SpA, Henkel Italiana and Marion Merrel Dow (Lepetit Research Centre). In 1990 she joined Recordati S.p.A. where she held a number of positions in R&D and then in finance with increasing responsibilities. Since 2012 she is Group Finance Director.
 


Giovanni Minora - Director Corporate Auditing

Giovanni Minora holds a degree in Business Economics from the Bocconi University of Milan. He started his professional career in 1995 as junior controller at Alcanital Services, then he worked at Alcan Alluminio as assistant to the financial manager. In 2000 he pursued a career in management in the auditing field: he was appointed Senior Internal Auditor at Foster Wheeler Italiana and later he joined Edison as Operations Auditing team coordinator. In 2005 he joined IT Holding S.p.A as head of Audit and Internal Control for the group. He joined Recordati in 2007 and is currently Director Corporate Auditing.
 


Cédric Ripert - International Licensees sales

Cédric Ripert holds a degree in International Management from ESSCA and an Advanced Master in International Project Management from ESCP Europe in Paris, France. 
He started his career at Novartis France in strategic planning and business analysis roles in both Pharma and Consumer Health divisions. In 2006, he joined Basilea Pharmaceutica, headquartered in Basel, as Business Development & Licensing Manager, with focus on life-threatening infectious diseases. 
In 2011 he moved to Shire’s international headquarters, first as Global Business Insights Lead for the Hereditary Angioedema Franchise; then, in 2014, he was promoted Head of Distributor Business for Shire’s entire portfolio. He joined Recordati in November 2017 as Vice President, International Pharma Sales.


Paolo Romagnoli - Director Pharmaceutical Chemicals

Paolo Romagnoli holds a degree in chemistry from the Università degli Studi di Milano. He joined the Recordati Group in 1974 where he held positions of increasing responsibility within the pharmaceutical chemicals division beginning with the development of processes of organic syntheses and achieving the position of head of pharmaceutical chemicals marketing. In 1988 he began his activity as a consultant specialised in pharmaceutical chemicals.  He dealt with many European and North American companies accruing a profound management experience : from strategic planning to business development, from market research to research and development. He joined the Angelini Group in 2003 as the manager of the fine chemicals business unit and production facilities. In 2006 he returned to International consulting offering extensive support to many companies in the  fine chemicals sector and in particular as related to active pharmaceutical ingredients. In May 2008 he rejoins Recordati as director of pharmaceutical chemicals.


Raffaele Sabia - Director Pharmaceutical Research and Development

Raffaele Sabia holds a degree in Medicine and a post-graduate diploma in Cardiovascular and has a long and rich experience in R&D roles in the pharmaceutical business.
In 1990 he started his professional career at Schwarz Pharma as Medical Adviser for the Cardiovascular area and then became Clinical Research Manager.
In 1997 he moved to AstraZeneca, where he covered different medical roles with growing responsibilities: first he was Senior Clinical Adviser Cardiovascular Area, then Medical Manager Cardiovascular & Metabolic Therapy Areas, later on Medical Affairs Director Primary Care, Neuroscience & Hospital; in 2006 he became, at Headquarters level, European Medical Affairs Director for the Cardiovascular Area.
In the following year, as a part of the same Group, he came back to Italy as Vice President Medical, then Vice President Medical & Regulatory, and finally in 2012 Vice President Medical, Regulatory & Market Access, in charge of the management of Medical Affairs, Clinical Research, Drug Safety, Regulatory Affairs and Market Access Departments.
Finally, in 2013 he joined Novartis Headquarters as Medical Head Region Europe – Cardio Metabolic Franchise, in charge for the entire region of design and implementation of the strategic clinical development and medical affairs programs related to Cardio Metabolic compounds.
During his career he gained a significant experience in different therapeutic areas (Cardiovascular, Metabolic, Gastrointestinal, Respiratory, Neuroscience, Oncology, Anesthesiology, Anti-infective, Vaccines) and contributed to the success of several products. 
In July 2017 he joined Recordati S.p.A. as Director .Pharmaceutical Research and Development.


Marianne Tatschke - Director Investor Relations & Corporate Communicatons

Marianne Tatschke, of Argentine origin, earned a BA in Psychology and in 1982 a Master in Business Administration at McMaster University (Hamilton, Ontario, Canada). She started her career in Italy at Sea Containers (Italian subsidiary of the Sea Containers Group) first as Operations Manager and then as Financial Controller. In 1988 she joined Det Norske Veritas (Milan Branch of the Norwegian naval registry) as Administration Controller and in 1991 she started her experience in the pharmaceutical industry at Astra Farmaceutici, the Italian subsidiary of the Swedish group, as Planning and Control Manager. In 1996 she was appointed CFO. Following the merger of Astra with Zeneca Ms. Tatschke joined Recordati as Director of Accounting. In 2001 she was appointed Head of Investor Relations and in 2013 Director Investor Relations and Corporate Communications


Roberto Teruzzi  - Executive VP of Group Industrial Operations

Roberto Teruzzi, who holds a degree in veterinary medicine and two international MBAs, has thirty years of experience in managerial roles in the pharmaceutical business.
In 1986 he started his professional career in Boehringer Mannheim, in R&D and then in Commercial area. He covered different roles with growing responsibilities in various pharmaceutical companies: as of 1989 he was International Product Manager at Farmitalia Carlo Erba, in 1992 he moved to Zambon as Business Development Manager and in 1994 he joined Pharmacia &  Upjohn as International Markets Manager.
In 1998 he was in charge of establishing the Italian subsidiary of Ratiopharm, becoming Managing Director of the Company. In 2005 he moved to Alliance Boots, where he established the Almus and Alvita Companies, for the commercialization of generics and para-pharmaceutical products in South Europe, becoming General Manager Europe Almus & Alvita and Managing Director of Almus Italy and Alvita Italy.
In 2008 he joined Mipharm as Chief Operating Officer, responsible for Commercial, Logistics, Distribution and R&D activities; after the transfer of commercial activities to Novartis he was in charge of the production plant, with main responsibility of maximizing profitability.
Finally, in 2010, he moved to Corvette Group (acquired by Recipharm in 2014) as Chief Executive Officer to coordinate Biologici Italia Laboratories, Edmond Pharma and Liosintex, companies operating in third parties manufacturing and development of pharmaceutical products as well as in commercial activities.
In April 2015 he joined Recordati as Executive Vice President of Group Industrial Operations.

 

Witold Urban - VP and Regional Director Central Eastern Europe

Witold Urban earned a Master of Art in Modern History at University of Gdansk (Poland). After an initial experience in Sales at Sterling Health, in 1995 he joined SmithKline Beecham Consumer Healthcare, today part of GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare, where he worked for eighteen years with country and regional responsibilities in Central and Eastern Europe. After covering different sales and marketing roles in Poland, he became Sales Development Director for the CEE Area, then Country Manager Ukraine, Vice President & General Manager Poland and finally, in 2009, he was appointed Vice President & General Manager Russia and Head of CEE Corega (Denture Care). In 2012, Mr. Urban was appointed Director Business Development and Strategic Projects CEE. In July 2013 he joined Recordati  S.p.A. as Regional Director Central-Eastern Europe.


Ismail Yormaz - VP and Regional Director South-Eastern Europe and North Africa

Ismail Yormaz attended Ankara University, where he received a bachelor’s degree in medicine, and has M.B.A from Istanbul University. After an experience as Product Manager first in BASF Pharma and then in Abbott Laboratories, in 2002 he moved on to Menarini as Group Product Manager for Turkey. Before joining Recordati, he worked in Reckitt Benckiser, where he was Marketing and Sales Manager of Healthcare business. He joined Yeni Recordati in 2009 as General Manager. He managed the merge between the company and Dr. Frik Ilaç  that formed present-day Recordati Ilaç.  In 2014, he was appointed Regional Director South-Eastern Europe and North Africa.
